FORWARD THINKING ABOUT YOUR EDGES
A POWERFUL PROGRAM THAT WILL CHANGE THE WAY YOU SKATE
Lloyd Eisler began his skating career in Seaforth Ontario the age of 7 years old with dreams of being a Professional hockey player. After being cut from the tryouts on day one he turned to Figure Skating to learn to skate with the hopes of one day returning to his dream of playing hockey. After years of figure skating and achieving the highest awards in winning 6 Nationals Pairs Championships, 1 World Championship, 5 World Championship Podium Placings, 2 Olympic Medals and being inducted into the Canadian Sports Hall of Fame and the Canadian Figure Skating Hall of fame he returned to his love of hockey to put his skills as an edge expert to use training and coaching all levels of young hockey players to be better skaters, which leads to being a more advanced hockey player. He created a program called PACES HOCKEY.
PACES is a power skating program with the extreme focus on body positioning, balance, speed, and the control and demand we need from our edges in order to create a smooth stride, great speed and power.
It is the combination and focus between skating skills that are used in speed skating, figure skating, and hockey. Paces is the forward thinking that will enable young skaters to increase their power, agility, curves, edges and speed to give them the advantage that is needed in the ever-changing game of hockey. All of these techniques and skills are the direct result of being able to utilize our edges in order to create the movement desired.

We are very proud of Kailey who is currently in her Senior year at Shattuck St. Mary’s. She just signed her LOI to play D1 Hockey at Providence.
Finding the right coach is a daunting task and one is always left questioning if they found the right person?
The Gill family can attest that PACES is definitely the best program.
The program covered the philosophy and winning formula, delivered in concise and fun fashion for my two skaters. The structure was clear and effective. Lloyd Eisler has obviously put a lot of thought and expertise into creating this dynamic program.
But it wasn’t just about the new knowledge. The main benefits came from doing assigned drills, receiving individual feedback and interacting with Lloyd and other participants.
This format gave my two boys the confidence to implement new techniques when it came to try outs…especially my oldest son playing Jr Hockey who never played AAA hockey. The one consistent theme is how they were impressed by his skating and he was offered a contract to several top teams. Those offers affirmed that PACES and Private Lessons with Coach Lloyd definitely improved his skating.

My daughter Kailey has trained with Lloyd for the past 18 months. He is an expert in his field and has always been professional, positive and encouraging. When my daughter tried out for her AAA team we knew we had to prepare for tryouts correctly, Lloyd was able to identify and communicate the opportunity areas in my daughter's skating in an efficient and effective way. He is genuinely concerned about his student and their development. I would recommend Lloyd to anyone looking to improve their skating and especially to those interested in learning the nuances of their edges. Kailey has gone on to sign her LOI with Providence D1 Hockey Program after completing her years at Shattuck St. Marys.

PACES was a great experience. It was a high intensity and high energy camp that consists of drills and skating techniques. These drills were not only tough and provide a challenge for some of the more skilled skaters, they also show you areas to work on. With the help of Coach Lloyd, he sees everything, even the smallest of details, he is able to point out and help correct you so you can become the best player you can be. My time working with Coach Lloyd has helped me not only to gain the confidence to use my edges to the max. With the help of Coach Lloyd I have made it onto a Junior Team. I Will move to Maine to play for the Maine Wild in the NA3HL for this upcoming season. (Mathew has been accepted to the University of Alabama D1 Hockey Program) Thank you Coach!

Coach Lloyd Eisler of PACES Hockey has helped me improve
my skating a ton over the past 2 years and it has
helped me jump to the next level.
My edges, transitions, and stride have never been better.
Would 100% recommend for anyone who
needs help becoming a better and more technical skater.

I started skating with Coach Lloyd Eisler 2 summers ago. Through many 6am skates, my skating has drastically improved. My skating and confidence has never been higher. Skating is the main skill
that allows you to excel at every aspect of the game. Coach Lloyd
has helped take my hockey game to a new level.

Lloyd has been Luke's skating and edge Coach for over 2 years and I
couldn't be happier with the progress the two have made in that time.
Luke has gone from being a human zamboni during games to being a
poised and balanced skater. He has changed positions from forward to
defense. He has changed skate sizes from youth to junior. All along the
way, Lloyd has adapted his lesson plans to get the most out of Luke. As a
parent that played in prep school and college, I know I may have
unrealistic expectations. Lloyd consistently exceeds those expectations.
There's obviously several skill instructors that teach
skating and edgework, but very few with Lloyd's resume. But besides his
resume and knowledge of skating, what sets Lloyd apart is the fact he
cares about the mental aspect of his students. Over the course of his
lessons, you can hear Lloyd talking to his players. He looks to understand
the current mindset of the player and tailors his lesson to most maximize
the time. Caring about the development of the player on and off the ice,
and not the paycheck, is important to Lloyd and this is obvious from his
time spent off the ice reviewing videos and checking in regularly
regarding the season. I couldn't be happier with Coach Lloyd's work with
Luke and recommend him to anyone that asks who is the
best skating and edge expert in the area.
